SPW (12/2/08):
'REVA OR THE BABY?' preview article (photo of Reva and Jeffrey talking to Colin) - Reva refuses to seek treatment for fear she will lose her baby, while Jeffrey tries to persuade her to do everything she can to save her life. "Jeffrey doesn't want to lose Reva," declares Kim Zimmer. "He wants to raise this child with her as a family!" Reva and Jeffrey argue over whether they should fight the cancer or focus on the baby. Reva accuses Jeffrey of not understanding her feelings because he's not a mother. "He gets ticked and goes to Lillian for advice," says Zimmer. "Jeffrey and Reva are definitely in this together...Really, they both want the same thing." Jeffrey tells Reva there might be a way to treat the cancer without harming the baby and she agrees to explore some options. She gets upset when one doctor tells her to abort, but then she and Jeffrey meet with Colin McCabe. He tells them about the new chemo treatment. Reva and Jeffrey run into Josh on their way out of the hospital and Reva tells him they are there for a check-up. Kim says Reva feels she does not need to involve him until she knows more and then will because it will involve their kids. Although she got promising news from Colin, Reva's fears are weighing on her heart. One thing is for sure: "She feels very loved by this man she has in her life now," smiles Zimmer about Jeffrey. "She's committed to having this family with him and doing it right together." Kim says Reva is also lucky to have Josh for a little moral support.
'SURVIVOR: SPRINGFIELD BABY EDITION' - This little blurb talks about how some GL fans were saddened and angry when baby Max got killed off and how Kim Zimmer hopes along with fans that things will be different with Reva and Jeffrey. "I was thrilled when they said they were going to do the baby story," she smiles. "I told them, 'First of all, you can't kill this baby! It has to be full-term and it has to be Jeffrey's.'" Kudos to Zimmer for speaking up, so even with Reva battling cancer there could be a happy ending for her little one.
EDITOR'S OPINION - The GL editor, Meredith M. Miller says she would rather see Kim playing a new mom happily and, no doubt, comically, preparing for the baby than watch Reva face cancer again.

IN DEPTH STORY - Bradley Cole talks about the dilemma Jeffrey and Reva are facing. "Reva and Jeffrey are trying to balance saving the child's life with saving Reva's life, so it's going to be interesting," says the father-to-be's portrayer. "It's clear to Reva that she has to do whatever she can to protect this child, and she is willing to sacrifice her life." Jeffrey loves the baby and wants it to be healthy but he is putting the needs of his wife first. "Jeffrey is definitely concerned for the baby, but he is also concerned for Reva and she doesn't share that view."
