Ethnic Origin Poll |
Lead | |
|
Guy had created the National Origin Poll in the Guiding Lights Poll section. I thought I will create another poll to supplement what Guy tried to do before,
but change the emphasis from merely ONLY the European countries to encompass the whole world. In any case, it seemed more to do with us than GL, so, I decided
to move both the polls here!
Please tell us what your ethnic/national origin is, if you will! Thank you. What is your or your ancestral ethnic origin, please? (Result)

There has been so many generations of different stuff in me that I am not ethnic about anything. By the time it gets down to me, I'm just a plain ol'
white/caucasian American, and proud of it.
God Bless America!

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Julie, that would be Northern European, wouldn't it - sraddling North-Western and North-Eastern; so, if you like, you can pick one of those two depending
on whether Western or Easter part of the culture dominated your upbringing, thinking, etc.?
My cousin married a beautiful Ashkenazy Jewish lady. His two sons can claim, with equal truth, either India or Germany as their ethnic origin - or both - depending on how they feel on that day

With names like Bailey,Miller,Martin and Hobson,As far as I know I am American Indian,Irish,German and Black Dutch..
My grand parents/Parents came from Ark,Mis,Mo,Kan and La. My mom was orphaned at a very early age and my Dad left us when I was 5 years old so I don't have much to go on. About the only thing I know is what my niece has dug up on the internet. Just call me a PROUD American. |

I am with Chris; I really don't know where the old folks came from originally. I think my mother's family came from England. My dad seems to have some
Native American Indian blood ( I would guess Cherokee) just by looking at him, but I don't know that for sure.

I've been told all my life I was Heinz 57 hehe There's a tiny bit of: Scottish, English, American Indian-Cherokee and Osage both, Scandanavian, Italian
and Greek......soooooo a long time ago when people asked me what I was, I just said, "American" because that's what I feel I am! Glad to find I
wasn't the only "57" on here!
God Bless America!

Chris aka Heinz57
I wish I could edit the poll (Yuku allows the editing of the pre-amble, but not the entries themselves), and if I could, I would have made the last choice 'Heinz57'.

I am 1/2 German 1/4 Hungarian and the other 1/4 is completely mixed with Irish English and "other." (My mom knows all of this) My mom's family
was in the Oklahoma land rush and actually rode in a covered wagon to claim land. Crazy! My mother traced her side of the family back to the Mayflower. (She
was into Genealogy for a while.)
My husband is French, but his origin is 1/2 Polish and 1/2 Moroccan. So he has really beautiful skin! |
