Well, as you may well know, my BIL came up for the week as he and his wife normally do during Tgiving. I "lovingly" call him Cousin Eddie, as in the
Cousin Eddie from the Chevy Chase. Vacation movies. My Cousin Eddie acts alot like him. I not only had them, my other SIL (the one I really love to death and
lives locally and very often comes up for the weekend through the year) aslo spent the week at my house. So I was surronded by in laws. Now I know how Custer
felt.
Well, to begin with, my dad and I had very bad colds the 2weeks before Tgiving. My dad even spent 2 days in the hospital because we thought the fluid around his heart was coming back. 3 years ago he had a bad case of pericarditis (fluid around the heart) and had 1/2 gallon drained! Well it turns out this time, he just had a very bad nasal sinus clog, and trouble getting the mucas out of his lungs via dbl phnemonia he had when he was 10 months old. Now since he's older he has some trouble getting the mucas out, so he needs puffers and nebulizer treatments at home. Thats good thank God and nothing serious. My cold still lingers today. But I'm fine, just a runny nose and sniffling.
So, my BIL comes in town Sat before Tgiving. His wife starts coughing, and getting the chills on Monday eve. Tuesday she is the same, coughing more and running fever of 101. He takes her Wed to local clinic, and they advise taking her to hospital. They run tests and admit her. She has dbl phnemonia! She stays in the hosp until Monday Dec 1. They were supposed to fly back home on Sat morn, but had to change their plans of course, and finally left yesterday.
So, its been one hectic holiday. As is my nature, I had fun with them all. I love to tease (who me?) and I made the most of the situation. But I was good, and sometimes bad. But everyone had a smile on their face. Except me, tears of a clown, you know always out voted on things cause out numbered by inlaws.
So here I sit, all inlaws gone, still stuffy in the nose and bad, I guess you can say I'm a little "Snaughty"!
